Biography

Miles first became invested in making lasting, positive community change while doing pro-bono work with local food pantries and a community job program as an undergraduate student at the University of Virginia. In 2024, Miles sought to dive deeper into community development work and served as an AmeriCorps VISTA at a public health organization in Washington State, where he built community partnerships with schools and parent groups, wrote grant proposals, and managed survey data. Miles joined Habitat for Humanity with an interest in helping others live healthy lives, and he sees clean, affordable housing as an important tool to make that a reality. He hopes to use his combination of experience in data management and non-profit operations to promote this interest in the D.C.-NoVA area.
