Glebe View Townhomes at Fairfax Presbyterian Church

The Glebe View Townhomes is an exciting new construction project in the City of Fairfax. We will build ten townhomes, each with four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and an attached garage. Eight homes will be sold to qualified households through Habitat’s homebuyer program, four of which will be targeted to families at 60% MFI and four at 80% MFI. The remaining two units will be sold to Homestretch, a partner nonprofit offering supportive housing to women and families exiting homelessness.

We will install energy-efficient appliances and windows with sustainable building practices in mind. They will be built to EarthCraft Standards and Energy Star certification. Each home will have solar panels installed to help reduce their overall cost and environmental impact.

We will also build five units to be accessible with a bedroom on the first floor, wider door frames and stairways, and accessible bathroom features such as a low threshold shower pan and adjustable shower heads.

The Glebe View townhomes will be permanently affordable using a ground lease structure similar to a community land trust model. By separating the ownership of the land and the homes, the cost to purchase is further reduced for future homebuyers.

Project Partners

Habitat DC-NOVA is partnering with Fairfax Presbyterian Church, Homestretch, and HomeAid National Capital Region to redevelop a portion of the Church’s parking lot into ten permanently affordable townhomes.

Through its pro bono network, HomeAid National Capital Region will designate a builder partner to provide sitework and land development before construction, resulting in up to 80% cost savings. To support the construction efforts, HomeAid has recruited Drees Homes as the Builder Captain.

Thank you to our partners who help make this project possible!
