Construction Updates
Constitution Avenue
We recently completed installing parts of the siding and exterior brick. Our staff and volunteers are working on adding insulation and air sealing to the home. Once those tasks are completed, we will be able to move onto drywall!
Reeves Farmhouse
Paint removal on the exterior of the home is completed! We are continuing to work on removal projects inside the home and will be finished by the end of the month.
Our Sandlot Crew is working hard on sanding down historic pieces that we removed from the home. The doors, mantles, and pieces of trim will be reinstalled in the home as a tribute to the original farmhouse.
Frye Road
The renovation of the homes’ interior has been completed. Our staff and volunteers are completing the final touches on the exterior property this month, including finishing the deck, painting the exterior, and landscaping.
Glebe View Townhomes
We’re working hard to secure funding for the Glebe View Townhomes. Our Resource Development, Real Estate, and Finance teams are exploring financing options to help us break ground on this much-needed housing development.
55th Street Townhomes
Our construction team is excavating and grading the site but we have had delays due to the rain. Once we complete these tasks, we’ll be able to start on the installation of site utilities and foundations for the 17 homes.
Home Repair Updates
We recently completed 2 projects through our partnership with TruBlue Total House Care of Vienna. We completed major plumbing repairs, repaired outdoor safety concerns, and performed other miscellaneous handyman tasks. We have also established a new relationship to complete home repairs in the District.
