Biography

Liz Salter started with Habitat NOVA in 2015. She is responsible for managing Habitat DC-NOVA’s social media and communication efforts and engaging and stewarding individual donors. Liz believes that everyone can play a part in making the DC metro area a more equitable and inclusive place to live and is thrilled that she can connect with people to help achieve our mission.

Previously to becoming the Director of Donor Relations & Communications, she managed volunteers at Habitat DC-NOVA. She loved getting to know our wonderful volunteers and finding another touch point for people to get involved.

As an AmeriCorps VISTA member, she started her career in nonprofits and worked on the team that started the first choice-model food pantry in Philadelphia. Before coming to Habitat DC-NOVA, Liz worked with volunteers and managed in-kind donations at the Carpenter’s Shelter in Alexandria. Liz has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Religious Studies from Albright College in Reading, PA, and a Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA).
