Habitat DC-NOVA is dedicated to building a community where everyone has a decent, safe, and affordable place to live. Since its launch in 2025, Pride Build has served as a vital initiative to empower the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies to become active leaders in Habitat’s mission. From supporting organizations like SMYAL to working on-site at our Constitution Avenue project in Washington, DC, this program highlights the unique housing gaps our neighbors face while providing an inclusive environment for volunteers to take direct action. We recognize that the need for stable housing impacts everyone differently, and many face systemic barriers that require intentional work to address.
