Biography
Kat has over a decade of community engagement and nonprofit service experience, and she is deeply committed to collective community solutions and housing security for all. As Vice President of Housing Programs, Kat leads Habitat DC-NOVA’s affordable homeownership program, home repair program, and community engagement efforts. Her work focuses on supporting residents through all aspects of the homeownership process and building collaborative partnerships to ensure families can access and sustain homeownership. Before stepping into Housing Programs, Kat served as VP of Resource Development from 2022 through early 2026 and led the organization’s fundraising, marketing, volunteerism, and retail operations. She joined DC Habitat in 2018 and served in increasingly responsible roles before becoming Director of Development in 2021.
Kat first became involved with Habitat as a volunteer with her hometown affiliate, Habitat Lancaster Lebanon, and continued to support their development and marketing efforts through her time in college. Prior to joining Habitat DC-NOVA, Kat managed a home repair program for low-income families in Virginia. She holds a BA in International Relations from The College of William and Mary.
