Joining Together to Build Stronger Communities
Every donation and purchase at a Habitat DC-NOVA ReStore plays a vital role in building homes and strengthening communities. This year, each ReStore has chosen a specific project to support through our round up at the register. Your contributions make it possible for us to create thriving communities where people can live with stability and hope.
In our ReStores, you’ll find posters showcasing these projects—stop by to add your name and track the progress of the builds you’re helping to make a reality. Here’s a glimpse of the life-changing projects your generosity is supporting!
Alexandria ReStore: Reeves Farmhouse Build
The Alexandria ReStore is sponsoring the Reeves Farmhouse build, providing a home for adults with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers. In partnership with L’Arche of Greater Washington, HomeAid National Capital Region, and Arlington County, Habitat DC-NOVA will restore the historic Reevesland Farmhouse and add a wing to accommodate 5-6 residents and 2 caregivers. This project combines historic preservation with creating spaces for dignity and care.
