We would love to have you involved in these upcoming opportunities. Build days are currently limited as we wait for our projects to be ready to take volunteers however, we have many ways to partner. Scroll to learn more about our opportunities and complete an interest form.

Group Volunteer Opportunities
Build Days
We host groups on our build sites for a full day experience from 8:30am – 3:30pm, and we can host groups of 5-10 volunteers, depending on site capacity. No skill is necessary, and all tools and safety equipment is provided.
In order to offset the cost of construction, we ask corporate partners for a $10,000 donation per build day to help reduce the cost of the homes and provide additional savings to the families we serve. Learn more about sponsor levels and the benefits of partnering with Habitat DC-NOVA. Our team is always happy to build a sponsorship package that meets the needs of your organization.
We understand that not all groups can contribute financially, and we recognize the significance of donating one’s time, too. Therefore, when we are at full capacity, we host 1-2 community groups per month at no cost on a first-come, first-serve basis.
ReStore
As the items we receive at the ReStore vary day to day, volunteers are key to making our ReStores successful. Volunteers help with sorting, pricing, and staging donations. We accept groups of 10 volunteers for a 2-hour long shift during open store hours – Monday – Saturday from 10am – 6pm on weekdays and 9am – 5pm on Saturdays.
Our ReStore, located in Alexandria, Chantilly, and Herndon, help support our mission of supporting families in building strength and stability through shelter. They are discount home repair stores where we receive donations of housewares, construction materials, and furniture items. We sell these items and proceeds help fund our work in Washington, D.C.. and Northern Virginia.
Other Opportunities
We host playhouse builds, Neighborhood Revitalization days, and Adirondack chair builds. We would love to connect to learn more about your interests and discuss the best option for your group!
