Our volunteer resources are here to better inform your experience and ensure the best time possible. Please use our volunteer manual as a guide to the volunteer experience across all our sites. The manual also includes all processes and procedures that are in place to secure a safe & meaningful volunteer experience.
VolunteerHub is our volunteer registration and management system. Please visit to search for and sign-up for upcoming events. Ahead of each event, we ask volunteers to sign a waiver, which is attached here for your reference.
If you are a volunteer who needs hours for a court-related reason, we ask all volunteers to sign off on another waiver attached here. All court-ordered volunteers must complete a screening process that is accessible on VolunteerHub. Otherwise, we are unable to issue a verification letter at the end of the volunteer’s service.
We also want to hear from you, and we are always looking for ways to improve! Please use our volunteer survey after your experience to let us know how it went. If you require more staff support, please reach out to Rachel Jones, the Director of Volunteer & Community Engagement, at rachel.jones@habitatdcnova.org. She is available for questions or concerns as you need them addressed.
